sold my last corvette.
Ive had this in mind for a while ,especially after Rons stolen vette was reported, For years now ive never locked my classic cars even in public, because i believe that car thiefs love the thrill of being able to crack it open in the quickest time, also if locked they can break your glass, power windows, door locks, paint panel, etc,so wanted to share this with you as i have alot of classic makes and models,.I have always used a steering wheel lock, and i realize that is not safe as well, also have a battery disconnect, but all my cars i have an electric kill switch, this is a cheap black push pull european stile small switch approx $3.00 to &5.00 at most parts outlets, this can be mounted anywhere, under dash, down in kill well, rearside ft consule, etc, then you just wire it to the positive side of the ingnition at or near the coil, join it approx 6 to 12 inches from there so thats it not easy to see , and use black wire, when the switch is in, car will never start,it will turn over but not start, the bigest problem i have is sometimes i forget and after trying to start it, forgot to pull the switch on, regards Wayne. It may help from getting your vette stolen.

Call it OCD but I always lock all my vehicles. The vette has a battery disconnect where I take the knob with me sometimes. I always park where I can see her and keep an eye on her. When not in use she is behind closed doors. I do understand what your saying though. Very scary to think of your pride and joy just taken from you like that.
