help...top won't come off

i have read about people that can't get there top back on...flexing etc...well i can get mine off...and it's killing me...the screw is fine...but i can't seem to get it off...any help greatly needed....

Oh-oh! Sounds like one (or more) of the retaining nuts may be spinning freely. I have never encountered this problem. Hopefully someone here will have some recommendations, or a fix, for you.

How long have you been trying and is the car on level ground? Reason I ask is because a guy at work has the same problem with his in his driveway every once in a while if the car is in just the right spot on the driveway. He pulls it in the garage and the top comes right off. He thinks and I agree it's the body flexxing just enough to torque it the right way so he can't remove it.

I'm no C4 expert or anything but I guess any idea is worth a try.

thanks for the replys...when i went to the nashville and bowling green 50th anniv. shows is the last time i could it off....i've tried countless times....in the garage is where i try to take it off so it should be level....i've got a hour drive to work everday and it's got some pretty good curves....so i would say that is what is wrong but fixing it is the whole diff. story....yes it's a daily driver and love the curves....anyways maybe this helps..
