Help w/ 73 Coolant Recovery System Hookups

Restoring a 73 that is missing the coolant recovery cap. Picked up the new cap and connected new hoses to the two outlet ports on the cap. I'm assuming the smaller hose connects to the radiator overflow. Where does the larger hose connect to? Assembly manual does not have a diagram.
 
Not sure if your 73 is the same as my 74 but if it is the small hose goes from the radiator cap fitting to the recovery tank cap which has another hose under the cap. When the water gets hot the radiator cap releases the water and fills the recovery tank to the full level.
As the water gets cold, when you turn the car off, the water will siphon back into the radiator.
If you over fill the reserve tank then the large hose (#2) will spill the excess water on the ground.

I guess that's why I couldn't find the connection point. It never occured to me that the second hose was a simple drain. Really appreciate your advice.
