Help with 77 weatherstripping

My brother got "late" 77 weatherstripping for his ttops for Christmas. This was what Wilcox corvette told him he needed because they said his window wasn't going up right. However I read that "early" 77 weatherstripping is for 2 latch ttops and "late" 77 weatherstripping is for 1 latch ttops? His ttops have 2 latches on each. My 81 has the glass 1 latch ttops and this is the same weatherstripping he was told he needed. We are looking at the way the one he got fits and it looks ok but before I glue it on I wanted to see if anyone had any insight on this before it is too late to exchange them...

My late 77 also came with two latches.
