I've got a '94 automatic coupe that's not starting sometimes. What will happen is the following:

Turn the key over and it clicks. After trying several more times it sounds like the starter is spinning, but possibly not engaging the flywheel. After several more attempts it will finally engage the flywheel and start up. This has been occurring randomly for a while now. Lately its been getting worse.

I haven't checked the battery yet for a charge (I'll be doing that tonight). I wanted to get any other advice in the mean time. I saw a recall notice for the '95 related to the CCM. Has anyone had any experience with that issue on the '94? The link to that article is below:

Thanks in advance to all that reply.

I have a 94 coupe and the same thing happened to me, it was the connection of the wire to the Battery........not the post or the terminal but the wire itself........the dude that had it before me jury rigged it from a side post to a top post.......it's simple but I would check that before you start getting into major expense.

:v

Thanks for the heads up, and I'll check that out. I'm hoping its something simple like that, I just bought the car less than 2 weeks ago and I've already had to replace the tires (dry rot from sitting up) and order some minor parts. I don't mind fixing things up as they break, I mean its a 9 year old car, but not all at once!

Thanks again,
