I want to pull the codes on my 1992 lt1. I understand I can do this with a jumper from A to B with the key on. The book I have shows a connector sample, with one row fully populated and the other with just one terminal. The on on my care has one row fully populated and 4 or 5 terminals on the other row. I do not want to make a mistake, does anyone know whick are a and b or better yet have a picture?

Thanks
Ron

Go to www.c4vettes.com
Sift thru it & you will find a description of what you are looking for. I can't recall the specific section, but I'm sure you will find it.

Thanks for the info, the photo still does not look like mine, and I do not want to screw somthing up.

You shud have a 12 pin DLC. B & A are the top row, last 2 pins on the right.
Jumper the pins & then turn the ignition "on". The site mentioned has info regarding retrieval of codes, etc.

Different years had different pin locations
according to my info. So apparently one does not cover all. Maybe someone else has better info?

Thanks,

I think I know which ones they are, there pins in the upper right, just not as many in that row as the picture, and more than the picture in the other row. Usually when I "Think" I know I dont thus the caution, I can see having to buy a new computer for my mistake

It's wise to be cautious. I don't think you'll hurt anything, take your time & you'll find the problem
