Exactely where does the jacking puck and jack go for raising the front end?

the puck goes into slotted holes in the frame rails, if you look underneath there are two "jacking points" where the frame is exposed on both sides. according to the shop manual you can raise the front end by spanning the suspension crossmembers and a "puck" would not be needed. as always keep safety in mind when jacking any car up

Thx. So are saying the 2 slotted holes right behind the front tires, only afew inches in from the body?

I don't know the answer...I've never used pucks.
I use either rhino ramps or span the crossmember with a board, lift with a floor lift, then stick the jackstands under each side of the board.

yes that is where the frame is exposed from the body, DO NOT jack on the body!
the body is open to the frame about a 3" dia hole around the slotted holes which are the recommended lift points. If you are planning on being under the car you might want to consider a set of ramps. Do a search in the C-5 section I think there is a set that will work with stock height C-5's

Disregard the above. I meant that I see one oval slot about a foot in back of the front tire and afew inches next to the body,is that the place for the puck? Thx.

there are 6 lift points on the C-5 4 are on the outside frame rails where the frame is exposed and have the oval slot that the puck goes into, you put the puck in the slot and turn it.
the other two lift points are the suspension crossmembers that Tammy posted above, if you want I will take a quick picture and post it later. I feel the need for a Cigar and will be going to the barn anyway ;LOL

here is the "puck" I made myself

The "puck" with a locator on it would sure do the trick.

For my floor hoist, I cut 2"x2" hardwood blocks and locate them carefully.

The locators would make life easier, for sure!
