I seem to be missing some of the zones for my Nav system; specifically 8, 9 & 10. The manual here at the tech center shows scrolling areas to the left of the choices but mine doesn't have them. At first I thought I was missing a disc, but the manual also indicates that there is only one.

I would suggest taking the car out to a clear open sky and reloading the NAV CD.

Once my CD is loaded I only have 7, 8, 9 and 10.

On initial load you should have what the reference photo shows. Hope you don't need a new CD.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. The interesting thing is that I have detailed maps for the zone I'm in. I noticed it when I went to do an address search and it couldn't find the address.

The Nav system on both the 2012 Grand Sport that I had and the ZR1 sometimes will not find an address that I can look up with my Garmin GPS.

It's not just the address. That was the clue that something wasn't right. A little digging and I found that several of the zones weren't showing up.

There should be 2 DVD Nav disks with the C6 - one covers all parts of the east and the other the west but neither disk covers the whole of the US. If you didn't get both disks, then you'll need to ask for the other one or order a set of disks.

Thanks. That was my initial thought but after reading the manual I came away with the impression that it was a single disc. It's interesting that this was a NC car but the West disc is in the NAV.

Depending on where the car was originally sold, east or west of the big river determines which disc is included from the factory. The disc's are updated annually and always on Ebay usually 2 disc sets. Just make sure it's compatable with Corvette Navigation. Also the nav is kind of a PIA as it won't find an address unless you have selected the correct zone first.

I had the same thing happen when I got my 2012 NAV disc for my 07 Pace Car. I just pressed the 08 on the map and it loaded.

I have the dealer looking for it so maybe I won't have to go the eBay route Dale. I'm missing a couple of things that they claim that they will get for me.

No joy on touching the regions Bob.

Bob Chadwick,

I'm sorry you're having these issues with your navigation system. Please keep us updated on what the dealer does?

Thanks Evan. So far they have done the right thing on a couple of issues that I have had, though not as quickly as I would like. My wife says I have no patience.

I discussed the need for 2 NAV discs for my ZR1 with my dealer.

They said that for 2012 you only need one disc. :w

That's a nice improvement ;) Kentucky is on the East disc, Missouri is on the West....kind of a PITA when I drive to MO to visit family. :mad

This looks right. We ordered an update for our 2007 coupe. Both 2012 disks arrived inside of a single case. So far, the system has not asked for the West disk, so I keep it at home.

I notice you have a 2006. I have a 2007. The latest set of discs I have is version 5.0. I believe they may be up to 9c now. Anyway, I have a 2-disc set, however, both cover the US, but disc one covers W Canada and the other covers E Canada. My system works with either disc. Of course I do not travel in Canada.

At the NCM's Annual Celebration over labor day - 2012 - Paul Pearson gave a presentation on Using the 6TH Generation Corvette Navigation System. It was very informative and he had a disc he handed out that gave his power point presentation on the Navigation System. You might want to contact him at Paul Pearson90@g.mail.com or visit his web site at www.theredlion.us. He might be able to send you the disc and the web site may be very helpful as there information about the common problems users have with the system.
Hope this helps.
