The front leaf spring is broken I hit a truck tire retread in the middle of the road driving into the sun I didn’t see it. The car has the base suspension. I did think to begin with it was the shocks so I was going to send them into Bilstien and get them rebuilt to make the car handle a bit better. I called Ecklers and they recommend using the sport front leaf spring and have the shocks re-valved to auto X. I don’t do any auto X I just want it to handle really well on country roads. On the other hand I want to be able to drive it 500 miles and still be able to walk when I get out. They also recommend a rear sway bar. What does it do to the car if I put the heavier sport leaf on the front and leave the back alone? Ecklers said leave the rear end alone except for the sway bar. Where is the best/cheapest place to get the spring and sway bar if I go that route? Any thoughts? Cheers Mates
