Can anyone help me out? Just got a 84 vette, its been 20 years since my last vette. The dash lights up but the gauges do not work. Also the drivers power seat does not work. My question is, if I had a bad ground for the gauges would the dash still light up? With that question answered, I at least would have a direction to go. I am new here and I am happy to be back into a vette.

Your dash problem is common...Yes it could still light up. Here are a couple of sites to look at if you feel as if you could do the work yourself. As far as the seat...are you getting power to it? Did you check the fuse?

Thank you, this stuff is great! Years ago we were on our own, you had to learn to fix it yourself or you did not drive a vette. Same thing was true with old Harleys.
I do believe I can learn to fix or replace anything on this car myself, when you love something this much you just learn. Thants again this kind of help is priceless.
