I am trying to get the car rode ready to drive, and I can't crimp the O ring onto the EGR recirculation pipe that comes off the headers. How do you get that damn thing on there? It keeps blowing off the tube and sounds terible.

Yeah I just drove it around the block and it blew off again. Any Ideas guys I am planning by mid week for this car to be drivable again, meaning hanging the exhaust and what not. I have to get the roller rockers installed!!!

They basically said it just "crimped" on. When I tried to explain to them that it was to big, and would just bend out, like if you pull a rubber band they had no clue what I was saying. I guess I will try Rich's suggestion in my other thread and use a hose clamp and see if she stays on. If not, back to the drawing board I guess.

There is a special crimping tool, check a parts store. That thing is a PITA. I got rida mine when I did the headers and exhaust.

Yeah no doubt. Mine is all gubared up, I don't know if it can be saved. It would have been nice for them to tell you that there is a special tool needed to crimp it huh? I just put a hose clamp on there, hopefully it will hold. I know I should have blocked the EGR off, but oh well.

I have about fifty miles on it with the hose clamp, so that seems like it will work out, per Rich's suggestion in a different thread. Thanks Rich.
