CONCORD, N.C. – Danica Patrick plans to enter the first four NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2011, at Daytona, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Bristol, Tenn.
The rest of her stock car racing schedule has not been locked in. She committed to 13 races this season.
The Bristol effort would be Patrick’s first at one of NASCAR’s most difficult and iconic tracks.
“She has done a commendable job so far given the limited seat time, and we appreciate her work ethic and dedication," said JR Motorsports co-owner Kelley Earnhardt.
While Patrick has not yet finished a NASCAR race on the lead lap, she has become more competitive.
“We’ll have four extremely challenging and unique races to start our 2011 season, and I’m anxious to return to a lot of those tracks with at least a little bit of familiarity,” Patrick said.
