When you smoothed your firewall and the area where your wiper motor was before, there are TWO bolts that go through the top and attach two struts to the cowl vent area. The other end of these two struts goes up to the bottom of the dash area and are held in place by two nuts that are attached to the windshield anchors from underneath.

Question is...when you smoothed over the front by where the wiper motor used to be, what did you do for anchoring the strut bolts in place or did you glass over these bolts in place?

I used stainless steel button head screws,

I purchased them from a local hardware place called fastenall

fastenal fasteners

They dont have polished ones but a couple of seconds on the baldor buffer and they were gleaming. I used them all over the car wherever I needed a fastener that was exposed and not for the suspension, What ever I needed one I would get a bag of them , I have an entire assortment in the garage for the next project
