If you notice from the picture, my left headlight does not completely shut. Has this happened to anyone else, how do I adjust the headlight to close flush with the hood?

The light does work, but just doesn't shut completely

Thanks

Were you working on the headlight before it did this...or did it start doing it on its own?

I have the same problem with my 87'. Same side too. My quicl fix is to give it a quick rap with my hand and it closes completely.;)

i am hoping someone chimes in here. It would help both of us!

No, I have not started to work on this yet. This is how the headlight has been since I purchased the car last week.

Wanted to get some advice before I got myself in more trouble with this problem than I started with.

Look in this THREAD for adjusting the door...if that is not your problem you may have a gear/bushing problem. Push Here

Orange84, you have a PM.

If the gears aren't about to go out in the headlight motor, try adjusting the headlight USING THE KNOB ON TOP OF THE HEADLIGHT MOTOR. TURN THE KNOB LEFT OR RIGHT UNTIL IT'S NICE AND FLUSH WITH THE OPENING.
While the hood is open, switch the headlights on, then off. Does the headlight motor continue to operate after the lights close into place? If so, the gears are going. They sell kits with better innards to cure this. Otherwise, headlight motor replacement is in your future and not a cheapo expense.
