You probably already know it's a rather popular thing to upgrade older vettes with later vette parts and technology such as putting on C4 or C5 wheels, converting to TPI, installing C4 seats etc. Some of your own product line is based on the idea.
There are many of us that would like very much to chunk out those old technology brake calipers. They are extremely heavy and difficult to purge, I'm pretty sure they are physically larger than later vette calipers and can cause interference issues with aftermarket wheels. Current aftermarket brake systems are very expensive and replacement parts are not as readily available as stock pieces. I think a good solution would be to upgrade to the C5 calipers and rotors. The rotors are cheaper than C4 rotors and I believe the calipers are less expensive as well. Plus with the C5 brake system installed if one were to experience a breakdown far from home parts would be readily accessible. I've heard of at least one person on another board that did this with home-made brackets so I know it's do-able.

I'd like to hear from you on this subject as well as from other forum members that might be interested in this type of upgrade. Do you think VB would be interested in building and marketing such a system? You could build the brackets and brake lines for the retrofit and/or market a complete C5 brake upgrade system.

If you are not interested I will E-mail CSSB inc. and pose the question to your competitor.

If someone here knows how to do it maybe we ought to post a poll thread to gauge interest in ths subject.

thanks

Lone,
We do have things in R & D right now but I am unable to comment on this, even though I would like to. Good things will be comming from VBP in the future, rest assured.
