Hey! Studiog

It is time for an update and pictures on your 61!

Ray

Agreed. :D

Hi Ray & Heaven,
I just got my heater/defrost box in... it was on backorder as were my kick panel metal inserts& grab bar, which are supposedly on the way. Also just received my seat foam which was also on backorder. So now I finally have about 99% of what I need to button up the interior. I have to sort out my courtesy light wiring also. It is giving me a bit of a hard time but I guess I'll figure it out. By the way Ray when you set your parking brake is the indicator light on the cluster suppose to blink? Mine does. The next set of pictures I post will be me finally driving this car on a public road. She ain't been out of the driveway yet and I'm gett'in anxious. :)

Its been a terrible year for back orders espicially on chrome trim parts. Sorry for your delays.

Out of a list of 14 parts needed for the 62 and the 66
9 of the parts were on a 3 to 8 week back order.

Whats happening this year?

And its just not one supplier I treid to order the same list with another vendor and was told the same thing

What problems are you havring?

I am sure you have heard it before but check grounds first. The way I check a ground is with a long test lead conneted to my test light. I connect the long lead to a battery + then when you touch the end of the light probe to a good ground the light lights up.

Battery + is allready at the light waiting for the door to open to make a ground,

Thanks Larry. I did get the courtesy light working tonight. Seems the socket is for a double terminal bulb and I had a single pole bulb in it. I remembered you saying that before Larry... about the ground, and now that is what I do first when testing a circuit.

In my case Larry I think I need to take some of the blame as I should know by now that allot of these parts won't be in stock and I need to plan ahead a little better. Only problem for me is that sometimes when I have new parts too long I either lose them or forget I already have them and I order them again
:)

Use a computer spread sheet.with columns and rows

vendor,Part number, description, quainity, price, ordered, recived, Again I always say orginize you project.the last 2 weeks before carlilse I was completely disorginised as I started to emplty out my large plastic containers that I would put the parts in when they came in,and condence them into one. What a mistake. Me personally would never have been able to build this car with out my list's

Hi! Stuidog

I do not believe that mine even works I have never checked it. I plan on re-working the minor flaws (body work shrinkage, solvent pops and a couple of small stress cracks in the body this winter and then re-spraying the body. I also hope to complete all the items needed for an NCRS performance verification which will include the parking brake. Sorry!

No problem. Good luck with the NCRS v performance check.
