Hello,

I just sent the check off to a classic vette dealer for my very nice 72 convertible. I saw the 454 emblem and just had to have it.

They said it is going to be loaded on the truck this coming Friday so hopefully it will be in my greedy hands by the end of next week. I am so excited I cant stand it.

I need to take the engine size sticker off of the air cleaner to be correct once I get the car delivered but man that looks awesome.
Valve cover is a little dinged and it needs an AC belt but other than that man it looks good. Hopefully it looks as good in person as it does in the pics.

Nice car! I love the chrome bumper cars as well!

If this information matters to you, the valve covers were painted steel, not chrome and yes, no sticker on the air cleaner lid. Also all 454's came with a smog pump and a rear sway bar. Your radiator fan is/should be very unique and hard to come by. It has extensions on the blades that extend beyond the shroud. The radiator reservoir is a smaller longer brass tank, not the aluminum style (I think yours is correct). Carburator should be #7042216 (72 454 auto only), also hard to find. I have a 72 auto with all the options except: convertible rear window defroster and 4-sp trans.
