Hi speed fan problem

77 vette. I cannot get the fan to work in the "VENT" position. It will work in all of the other settings. I have to put selector in A/C or defog etc. to get the fan to turn on. Then I move it to the Vent position. With a bit of luck, it comes on.

Try checking the connection under the console. As I recall my fan was not working and I just snugged up the connection and everything worked ok.
