Damn, can't catch a break here. Still no power and we have a Cat 5 heading our direction. So to the Callaway part....

Has anyone had trouble getting someone to mount tires on Dymags? I was going to buy a set of tires today b/c Im seriously thinking about leaving for this one and so far no one wants to mount tires on my Dymags.

I could drive on the ones I have now, and I have a set of tires waiting on me in VA, cause I need to have my wheels repainted. I want out of town tho... Im near desparation at this point. :hb

Surf - Turbo Joe had mentioned a machine by Hunter that did not "touch" the rim for mounting -
Hopefully he will see this and get a reply in -
Hope you make it through this one as well as the last two :eek
Whoa!!!!!!!!!

Josh,

I agree it's been a tuff season for you guys this year. Ivan looks like real bad news. Put a few things in the car and get out of town ASAP. This one is going to a real problem. Hope all works out well.

Remo:cool

Hey Josh, any shop that can do forged wheels should be able to do the dymags. Most Tire shops have the type of tire changer that holds the wheel from the inside and the bar that removes the tire never touches the the lip of the rim. Keep checking around you should be able to find one (I hope). Hopefully Ivan misses you guy's!

It looks like it is traveling west then going to head north and hit the gulf side. I use to be there in port charlotte. What a mess. Hope all leave and stay safe. Best wishes to all.

Hunter also makes a machine (actually, I didn't know they made tire-mount machines) that balances a wheel and tire under more realistic conditions. It's called a Road-Force balance, and I would find a shop that can do this as well. It balances the tire under real load, up to 1000 lbs on the tire, for a much more accurate balance. Since your cars are capable of quite high speeds, I'd think this is even more relevant. Stay safe! :w
