1996 Collections Edition LT4
Well I took delivery of the 1996 CE LT4 on Friday. My son and I flew from Petersburg, Va to Orlando, Fla and met Ray the owner of the Vette. He and his wife werewonderful people and I could tell he took very good care of this car.

My son and I decided not to head straight back to Va., so we decided to take a small detour. We drove to Albany, Ga to see my folks and spend the night in SWGA. We got up yesterday morning and headed north to Virginia. We pulled in to the drivway last night around 8pm.

The drive was pretty nice. Good weather and open roads. North of Atlanta we met up with another C4 and we kinda spend up a little bit. He pulled off somehwere around the South Carolina stateline. The in North Carolina a couple of young kids in their Honda pulled up and want to race. I just looked at them and smiled, then got pissed flipped me off and drove off, I just laughed.

I averaged around 73-75 mph and got an average of 27 mpg. I am very pleased with that. Much beeter than my 2001 Dodge 4X4 which get around 13 mpg on the highway. Anyway here are some pics of it, It needs to be detailed. The other car is a 1972 MGB GT, which I've almost completed the restoration on. thats a whole other story for another time.

Congrats on the new toy. That makes for a great road trip for you and your son.

He is 17 and a senior in High School. Damn time flies.

Sweet Vette! Is it your first one?

You are right; it looks like the old owner took great care of it, and Im sure it found a good home:thumb!!!

Best of luck!:cool

No, this is my second one. I sold my first CE LT4 back in 2003.

Great ride. Sounds like you had a nice trip. Always great to spend time with family in a wonderful car!

Nice car I always liked the CE.

One of my favorite C4's .

One of the best things my dad did for my brother and I was having a corvette in the garage. It was a deterrent from all the "bad" things a teenager can experiment with and experience. It was always a motivator to do my best in school and life. It paid off!!

Very nice looking!!!!!
hope you enjoy it!!!!!

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to be back in a vette.
