Well I took delivery of the 1996 CE LT4 on Friday. My son and I flew from Petersburg, Va to Orlando, Fla and met Ray the owner of the Vette. He and his wife werewonderful people and I could tell he took very good care of this car.
My son and I decided not to head straight back to Va., so we decided to take a small detour. We drove to Albany, Ga to see my folks and spend the night in SWGA. We got up yesterday morning and headed north to Virginia. We pulled in to the drivway last night around 8pm.
The drive was pretty nice. Good weather and open roads. North of Atlanta we met up with another C4 and we kinda spend up a little bit. He pulled off somehwere around the South Carolina stateline. The in North Carolina a couple of young kids in their Honda pulled up and want to race. I just looked at them and smiled, then got pissed flipped me off and drove off, I just laughed.
I averaged around 73-75 mph and got an average of 27 mpg. I am very pleased with that. Much beeter than my 2001 Dodge 4X4 which get around 13 mpg on the highway. Anyway here are some pics of it, It needs to be detailed. The other car is a 1972 MGB GT, which I've almost completed the restoration on. thats a whole other story for another time.
