hood emblem /center cap ?????????

i have seen vettes with L-82 emblems and a few L-48 on the hood. is that a after market part or did they come out of factory like that and while am asking the center caps short ones that say disk brakes come stock on vettes or is that after market also ...thanks mike

I believe the L-82 Hood emblems were factory. L-48 Hood emblems were not. I put L-48 Emblems on my hood.

The short hubcaps that say disk brake are for '67s only IIRC.

thanks, i thought the L-82 was factory but was not sure.. had no clue on short caps ...

The L82 emblems started in '75. Factory never used an L48 emblem.

Basicly the largest engine was the only one posted on the hood. In 75 the L82 was the big one. Prior to that, 73 and 74, the 454 was the only emblem used.
