hood latch won't release

Hi, I hope that someone can help. I have an 86 conv and the passenger side hood latch won't release. This will cause major problems in the spring when I take my car out of the garage. If anyone knows how to release the latch, I would appreciate the help. herique

I used to have this issue with my 86.. it developed slowly.

To get the hood open a friend would pull up on a side while I repeatedly tried the hood release. Once open just put some grease on the latches... Opens and closes with little effort now.

I think I adjusted mine. I did that on my bro's car to because ours hung up every now and again. Once I adjusted them I hit them with some grease.
