i went to open my hood today and the wire got cut...the handle came right out with about 14 inches of wire with it...problam now is how do i open my hood?? thanks

You have to crawl under the car and reach up to the LH latch lever. Push the lever (hanging down) back toward the "firewall".

I took a stranded steel cable (bicycle handbrake) and wrapped it around the lever - then slipped it alongside the real hood release cable into the cabin. If my handle breaks, I can pull the wire to open the hood.

Dont know how good your memory is but you want to as magic v8 said reach up and push/pull it towards the firewall.I dont know if would be easeyer to remove the inbourd splash sheild by the exchaust pipe to make more room to get up there to it.If you need a digital picture of one to show you what your trying to hit let me know and Ill take a picture from the bottom of mine (its up on a lift)

By the way dave excellent recomendations for a back up cable

thanks it worked perfect like magicv8 said..i just lifted the car like 1 foot because of the side pipes and crawled under and stuck my hand straight up and moved the latch towards the firewall...worked like a champ....thanks again
