hood question ?

will a 75 hood fit on a 71 ? are the latches in the same place? I am thinking of eliminating my wiper door. I like the looks of the longer hood. probably because I had a 81. it just seems to flow better. thanks

1971vert, I don't believe it will. I have a 76, I folder a large piece of paper over the front and rear edges, and held it up to my 72 hood. The angle's are different, but again it was a 76 to a 72. I hope someone can help answer your question a bit better who may have a 75.

Check out all the Corvette catalogs.All of them sell a long style L-88 hood that is a direct bolt on.Corvette Central has a high rise long hood that resembles a 75 hood for 68-72 Vettes.Ive also thought about changing hoods to a later model to get rid of the wiper door,but i like the way my stock hood looks from the drivers seat.
