Help!

I thought that this particulr problem was reserved for C4 owners, but it seems to be a Vette tradition.

This morning (with no prior warning), the hood release cable broke somewhere on my '63, and the hood latches won't release.

How does one open the hood?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Art - You can remove either one of the two triangular splash shields on the driver's side (the one outboard of the frame that attaches to the bottom of the fender, or the one inboard of the frame that attaches to the bracket on the floor pan), look up through the hole with a flashlight, and you'll see the trip lever hanging down from the driver's side latch - use a broomstick or something similar to push that lever rearward, and it will release the latches on both sides (the passenger side latch is operated by a cable from the driver's side latch).

Thanks, John. As you can see, I am new to the C2, and I appreciate the help. When I go get the car next time, I'll try that and let you know.

Regards,
