Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Hopefully my 1990 ZR-1!

They emailed me some pictures and the interior of the car looks great! It has both tops and comes with all the owners manuals, video, other magazine articles that the previous owner had about the ZR-1 in general. I just can't pick it up until Saturday at the earliest.

Cool! I hope it meets your expectations. Looks like a 'Z' I almost bought some years ago; one I have not forgotten.

Are those sawblades on backwards?

Hey Koolaid
I bought my 92 coupe from those guys, great people, I would buy from them again!!
The town of Manton is in a great vacation area, take a few days and do some cruising in that "Z" !!

You lucky dawg!
I hope it works out for you -- you gotta post some pics if you decide to go full steam ahead with the purchase. The ZR-1 is in my opinion the pinnacle of C4 performance.

Have you found anybody to work on it in the area, or will you DIY?

Reason I ask is I’m from Columbus.

Good luck on the Z!:w

Great looking car, and it looks like you're getting it at a great price!
Low mileage, great price, you can't go wrong.
Good luck, and enjoy that vette.

Wooooov, congradulations. How will you wait until Saturday??? I would get insomnia if I were in your shoes :)

Thanks, everyone. Well, I got the okay from the "big boss" (she really likes the color!) As of now, everything is a go. Getting some final details worked out today and tomorrow, mostly between the bank and the dealership.

I haven't found anyone other than Bob McDorman that has been certified to work on the LT5 and they are only 40 minutes from me. Other than that, I'll be looking.

I don't have much choice to wait until Saturday. I have to work through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I already have plans with the kids for spring break. Sleeping was hard last night I can't stop thinking about it. I'm really looking forward to the permanent "Corvette grin". I will post some more pictures as soon as I can.

Vin357, I'm glad to hear of the great dealing you had with them. My Dad and I are going to drive the 7 hours up there and you just never know what you might be getting into. They seem really nice on the phone.

koolaid117,

McDormans has a reputable service department, they should be able to take good car of you there should the need arise.

For an alternative look, there is also Corvette Care Incorporated. They’re off of Morse Rd. in Columbus.

I can vouch for Corvette Care, Inc.. I have had the best experiences with the owner, Lloyd Harvey, he is the only one I will let touch my Corvette if there is something I can’t handle. Lloyd is trust worthy and his level of integrity is admirable.

B17,

Thanks for the advice. :upthumbs I live in Newark so Columbus isn't too far.

Man, it's still only Tuesday!!

The 1990 is truely the original "King of The Hill"! The stock 1991 Corvettes owe their style to the 90's ZR-1. I am very happy for you. The price is also a good one. Don't worry, your jaw will hurt from that grin :D , but it is worth it.

I am also in the market for a "new" vette, but I have not decided yet. My "boss" says that we don't have room for two Vettes (since my daughter still is under college age). So the stipulation is that I must sell my L81...I don't know about that :ugh :cry . I have even name her already. I probably can't do it, and she knows that, too :L . I am trying for my wife to get the Vette bug, and just convince her that she needs one as well.

koolaid117,
You're welcome, I don’t know how you’re going to sleep at night with a Z just days away. Congrats... and please tell us about your initial driving impressions of the KOTH!

I'd say you got quite a bargain at $19k.
The car looks like it's in excellent condition from the pictures.

Man, you’re going to be in seventh Heaven when you get that beast out on the road.
