:L If you thought the L98 could pull at a stop, just wait until you wind through the LT5 gears!:D

I can only imagine . ZR1 are really rare in Europe . And are expensive.

I haven't found anyone other than Bob McDorman that has been certified to work on the LT5 and they are only 40 minutes from me. Other than that, I'll be looking.

I would not waste my time at any dealership for anything other than a oil change...

It might be a drive, but I would go to Haibeck over in Illinois. www.zr1specialist.com

Well, I got the car home last night about 10pm. All I can say is WOW!! That car is fully insane!! I knew it would pull alot, but I never expected it to be that far over the top!! Over the seven hour drive home, it got almost 28mph. I was really happy with that. It does have the original window sticker and it says the car is black and looking at it, I agree. I don't know why they told me it was charcoal metallic. It wouldn't have mattered.

It still has the original owner's kit, window sticker, and it has the original order for it from the dealership (Jack Maxton in Columbus) and the original owner ordered it on my birthday in 1988! I thought that was pretty cool. It has a Corsa exhaust which sounds just awesome!! The second owner put the Corsa exhaust on it and he apparently has the original exhaust in storage in Dublin, OH. Lots of receipts. It has a couple of service manuals with it. Looks like it has been taken good care of. I'll post some new pics of it soon!

Welcome to KOTH!

Hi Jim, Congrats on your new toy!!!:upthumbs It sure looks sweeeeet! Enjoy & welcome to the ranks of the insane. I know you will love the car, they are just so sweet & do wonders for the head! Keep the shinny side up & enjoy it in good health! Save the wave.:w Tom.

Thanks tom! I had the coolest moment on the way home. The sun was setting and I looked at the concrete divider and I could see the silhouette of the car on the concrete. I just thought that was cool because it was me!!

I was enjoying reading this thread with my morning coffee. And then I got to the above quote and a smile broke out across my face. It's great to read about honest pleasure and pride.

Because of you I've decided to take the Vette to work today and if you don't mind I'm going to keep my eyes alert just in case I catch my image on the concrete divider. I could use a simple pleasure rush today!

Guy, Roadster Guy, thanks for the thoughts! I'm glad the weather is warming up so I can drive it more! That smile, though, isn't fading anytime soon!!:D

My thoughts exactly!!

You know there might be something to that thing of getting a car that was ordered the month of your birthday. I was thinking I've had two vettes and both were delivered to their original owners the month of my birthday. Those are some long odds I would think, I wish I knew how to figure that out. I bet it would be interesting to see how many other vettes come up with that match. I guess those were matches made the vette gods? It's one of those things that make you go "hummm".
Save the wave! Tom
