Hey guys,

I need to remove the cover on the steering wheel to access the horn switch. My question is how does that cover come off?? I see there are two screws (heads facing the dash) on the wheel...do those need to come off first? Or is the cover pried off somehow? :confused For those of you laughing at me, I CAN HEAR YOU!!! :D

Well frankly, I don't know how the horn face comes off....but I'll bet you'd darn sure better be extremely careful in doing so. As the air bag could inflate...for lack of better term. Hopefully GMJunkie will jump in here and let you know.

Yes, there are two bolts on the backside of the steering wheel that need to be removed to access the air bag module, I believe those are the two you are referring to. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 15-30 minutes before working on the air bag.

Thanks!!

Hey LLC5, thanks so much for the help!:thumb This Forum has been awesome, as I've been able to do many things I otherwise couldn't do without the knowledge provided here. Thanks to all of you folks!:beer
