Horn will not cut off

Have an 03 ZO6. Horn came on and would not cut off when sitting in garage. Checked relay by swapping with another. Replaced battery as it had low voltage. Each time I believe I have found the remedy it randomly comes on again. Sometimes it seems it may be in conjunction will a door opening or closing or change in power consumption but not always. Car had been sitting for a day or two in the garage and had not been subjected to any elements or unusually cold or heat. Any suggestions?

Don't have an answer for ya but welcome to the forum. Noticed you are from Glenn Dale, grew up there many moons ago. Hopefully someone will come along with some suggestions for ya.

Google 'horn going off c5 corvette', lots of hits, most point to an air bag problem.

abvpar, first off a welcome is in order. As you have already seen, we have a lot of very helpful people here. I have moved your post to the C5 section where it will get more appropriate responses. I am assuming that you just clicked the wrong generation area when you posted. Good luck with the fix of your horn.

It is not an Air Bag issue but probably the Horn Membrane. Common issue and easy to fix.

I've worked on a bunch of these. Let us know if you have any questions.

ALWAYS disconnect the battery before fooling around with the air bag. Leave it disconnected for about 10 minutes to let the capacitor discharge before you start.
