Hi guy's

I have spent a few day's getting my wife's '77 lights to work the way they should.
I think bubba also did a fantastic job with the wiring of the torn lights.(some of them didn't work at all)

So the biggest problem is finding the electrical wire of the horn that goes from the steering column to the connector from the harness.

Does anyone know which color it is? Or do someone have a electrical diagram?

Thanks,

Ryan

P.s. By friday I'll be getting from Summit my knew aluminium heads, intake, cams and engine rebuild parts for my used to be L-48 engine for my '78. And for my wife's '77 I'll get the stainless chromed luggage rack and the two chromed mirrors she desperately wanted on the car.

Hi there,

Any support on the wiring could be great.

If your looking for the horn wire, its "dark green" and goes to the horn relay. It leaves there on "blue" and goes to the column. At least thats what it shows on my print, but mines "generic" it covers 66-82, so not sure how accurate it is. Hope it helps. Keep posting questions and I'll try to keep checking in. Also others will be getting home from work and checking in, so let us know what else you might need

there is a relay in the horn system the wire that goes to the steering column from the relay grounds the switch on the relay which in turn powers the horn. The diagram I have shows black for the color of this wire(which makes sense since it is a ground) the other wires going into the relay are red (switched power) and orange(constant power) and the dark green to the horn itself.
where the horn relay is according to a 77 assembly manual is on the firewall in the area above the steering column. I was never able to find the relay in my 76 and suspect it and the wiring was removed when a previous owner put in an alarm. I ran a separate relay and wiring to make my horn work.
good luck
