Hosed...

I have looked on a bunch of web sites and I can't seem find the hose that goes from the air control valve to the air cleaner assembly for my '82. (Fig. 6E-85 for those of you that have the shop manual.)

It has one end that is square that goes into a round hole on the air cleaner deal. I guess in 82 a square peg did fit in a round hole.

Mine is all butchered and taped so it is time for a new one.

If it's not available, any suggestions...?

Hey Pete -

Not sure of the name or part number that's most of the problem, I think.

82 GM Corvette Shop manual page 6E-64 Engine Emission Controls.

I found something that fits the description, Kinda, on the GM Parts direct web site about an hour ago. So, for 10 bucks I rolled the dice.

We'll see???

I see what you're talking about. The cheap plastic hose that goes to the air pump valve. GM part #14037667

Yup, its just a cheap little hose thing, but I have been banging my head against part sites, forums, and books for a couple of weeks.

The part # I found is different than yours. How did you find the part #?

The 82 is still new to me, hopfully I'll be able to navigate through the Vette world a little easier with time.

Pretty worthless for looking up the original part # that is in the assembly manual. The part is on Pg. 411 Drawing #1 first part on the parts list. that lists it as 14037667 but the GM site has 9 digit numbers.
