I bought a 79 vette a couple of months ago. This is number 6 that I have owned. It only has 48,000 miles and it's in real good condition. I took it to the Palm Beach auto show last weekend and came in first place in my class. I just drove my car 20 miles under 45 mph and the car temp read about 180. Once I get above 50 mph up to 80 mph the temp goes to about 225 with no a/c. When I get back to 45 mph it's starts to cool down again. I have replace the raditor, water pump, fanclutch, seals around the raditor, I have tried 160, 180, and not thermostats. My rpm's are about 3200 at 70 mph. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt the motor at 225 degrees. Please help. Thank you.
