how do i achive or purchase the quitest exhaust set up

on my 91, 94-96 C4 i,d like to achive the very quitest exhaust set up possible are there any recommendations out there for muffler, CAT BACK system, quite resonator?
any suggestions would be helpful.
thanks bonnie

In my limited experience, the quietest exhaust is probably the stock exhaust.

Everything else I have heard is louder with the possible exception of the fully closed setting on the "Power Effects" system.

You could try going to a muffler shop like Meineke or Midas. They have resinators with a diameter not much bigger than the center pipes. They could add it on. It would certainly quiet it down and shouldn't cost that much.

Keep in mind you will loose a bit of power, but if you need the quite, so be it.

The best time to go there is just before they open up on Saturday. They don't take appointments and first come first serve on Saturdays at both places over here.

Good Luck and give us your results.

Chuck

Are you running stock now? I don't mean to second guess your intentions, but as stated, the stock is very quiet. I suppose if you have one of the louder aftermarket systems, you may long for a quieter one. The corsa gets good marks for no resonance although it does have its moments. :L

I am confused.. is this a 91 corvette or a 94-96 vette. both have totally different cat-back systems

Corsa seems to be the best exhaust out there if you want quiet with good looks and added power.

Unfortunately, Corsa only makes their exhaust for the LT1, LT5, & LT4 engines. L98 owners isn't important enough for them I guess. 1991 Corvett'es still came with the L98.
