Does anyone have the procedure on how to remove the front bumper on an 87 coupe? It took about 4 hours to remove the rear with the help of a person with small arms:eyerole

Its possible to get a 1/4 inch drive socket and extention along with an open end wrench in there without taking the hood off. But if you have a friend to help, taking the hood off isn't that hard either.

I have to repair a hole in the hood also and would like to avoid taking it off if possable

mhmm

You don't want to take that hood off if you don't have to.....only as a last resort in my opinion. I have done it many times, and every time I do, I wish I hadn't. It's pretty tricky to get it lined up right, and heavy as a H***

If you pop the hood, look between the crack of the hood and the bumper. There should be 8 bolts that go through a metal bracket into the bumper. Need a small wrench to get to them. Then there are 6 bolts down at the botom of the bumper, (inside the engine compartment, near the fuel vapor canaster) There are 6 on each side. They also go through a metal bracket kinda thing. Then remove the 4 tork head bolts on each side that hold the bumper to the wheel well. There may also be a few on the bottom side of the bumper but I'm not sure. Then the pumper should pull off. Gotta work it a bit.

good luck

haha

HAHA most people can't figure it out. good job, you win a shiny new Dime

But.... As a rule, how long will a so-called 'Eight Day Clock' run without winding?
