I am detailing my Vette, and I feel like painting the area (well) where the wipers are. It's black, but I am reluctant to hand brush, because I don't want to have brush marks. I would like to know the proper way to do this. Any input would be appreciated.

I painted mine 24 years ago using two hand brushed coats of Rustoleum gloss mixed with flat...no satin yet back then. I removed the hoses, arms etc and cleaned it up. The paint self leveled and still looks OEM.

This looks very nice. Did you brush the part where the body color meets the black, that separates the engine well from the area you painted?

I don't know why you are scared of pain brush.
If you do it right it will look good.

Because I have seen, (and made) brush marks when I didn't want them, and I don't want brush marks where I want to paint.
