How DO it know??

I had a no-start for two days. It came on suddenly (at the house, TG) and was a result of no fuel pressure.

After tracing red lines and pink lines and tan lines (wrong kind of tan line, pal), I went out to check the car, only to find it had fixed itself! I don't truly like repairs that I just threaten to do, despite clean fingers and nails.

Now, I am glad it started right up, but can I go anywhere with it and get back??

Did Microsoft have a hand in the ECM??

Not getting back home is a risk you are going to be taking. I have had my car do some strange things on me, and leave me stranded. The first time it was the starter solenoid. The second time it was the ingition switch. I look at it as sh** happens. My girlfriends car was doing some wierd stuff. She had a no start condition for a day then it went away, then came back. I found her battery was not up to par, swapped it out and everything seems fine.

thanks, Craig. Every trip since the 406 went in has been a roll of the dice. Only recently has it been quite trouble-free. I DO appreciate the engineers who built the original hot, compact package we all love so much.

That's just our lot Mike, for being the gearheads we are. Hot rods are never going to be care and/or worry-free. Mine does the same thing at times still; I know what you mean about every time out being "a roll of the dice." :L
