How do you get adhesive off dash?

I just picked up my '04 and I began detailing it. The previous owner obviously attached something to the dash and it left a mark after it was removed. I tried finger nail polish remover to no avail. Any suggestions?

I just used the "Magic Eraser" by Mr. Clean and it took it off. That thing cleans everything, but don't use it on the body of the car.

My wife is a teacher and is always having to take off stickers, etc. Best think she's found is 3M Adhesive Remover. Has a citrus base. I've used it several times and it works great.
