I just bought an 01 coupe (6-spd) & I am wondering what I may have missed out on by not buying a used 04? Any major differences in power, etc.?

Minor changes, not enough that you could ever notice the difference between the two. Splitting hairs really, good for conversation, but real world feeling, no.

dbwade,
A buddy of mine has a '99 and I can't see any difference between it and my '04.
HP and Torque are the same per the specs on this site. I'm sure a few things not visible to the naked eye have been upgraded/fixed over the past few years.

Difference=money

The big difference is that the o4 coupe can be had in the $35,000 area if not lower. This also just happened to the volvo c70 vert o4. List 42-$44,000
now $34,000.

One of the Corvette magazines in 2004 had an article that listed all of the changes in the C5 on a year by year basis; sorry I can't remember which one it was. However, there were approximately 25 changes (mostly minor fine tuning stuff) made (20-30 was the range of numbers of changes) made in each and every year, so between a 2001 and a 2004 there were about 75 minor changes/improvements.

:cool ...and the other main difference is that the '04 is worth a lot more than an '01:upthumbs

2001 was a banner year. Most of the significant changes were done this year. There were minor changes for the remaining '02, '03 & '04 years. You picked the right year to receive the most benefits of C5 changes during the 8 years of production.

Can you tell me where a list of the changes can be found?..Thanks

How about the 98's? How much change do they have from the 04's besides a few horsepower?

One major change on (late 2003 and) 2004 models is
RPO FFS Revised Fuel Tank System (2003/2004)

Also RPO F55 Continuously Variable Electronic Real Time Damping Suspension was availible.
