No Not your Gross body weight.....
Your Radiator Pressure Cap..
Now for every Lb of Pressure you have on the cooling system you raise the boiling point of water in the system by "3*...
So I have a 15 Lb Pressure cap from my old 327 SB cooling system set up which added 1Lb=3* ..so 15Lbs = 45* Added to the boiling point of water (212*) gives you...212*+45*=257* Before Meltdown..!!
Just curious if I should stay with the same 15 Lb cap or drop it down a few pounds now tha I'm running the 502 with the Dewitts Radiator. 67 Heaven what size cap are you running? And how about the rest of you BB Loonies..what are you using??
What was the formula the Generals engineers used in selecting the pressure cap for the BB's and the SB's. Pressure and Raiator tuffness must have palyed a part in the selection.
Anyone
