1993 Torch Red Coupe
Which part of the C3 generation

I got bitten by the vette bug 2 years ago when I bought my '93 coupe. Any advice on buying an older vette?
I read some of the posts here about buying a C3. C3 covers a lot of years. Are the opinions regarding 69 vs 79 just cosmetic or do you think later c3's will become collectible too?

All C3s are collectible. Now.

Good reading here; worth the price of a copy.

The later C3's, at some point, will become just as desireable as the early C3's. It is just a matter of time. Don't get me wrong, I love the early chrome bumper C3's. Nice one's are hard to come by and are somewhat expensive. My plan is to restore my 79 as best as I can and wait for my investment to increase in value. Owning any nice classic corvette in my opinion is worth the time and effort. My wife just blew me away yesterday and said she wanted a C4 after we get done restoring our 79. This is probably several years away but I am already excited...LOL.

wow Ive seen a big increase in the later C-3 range in the last few years.... Ive always watch the C-3 verts go for the $15,000 range. and now the coupes are runing that amount.... Ive got a 75 vert and invested around $30,000 in it and still not done. so find a good car and hope the value ****inus to climb.:wsave the wave.................

If you can find one that is complete it will cost you a couple of bucks more. These cars can be pricey when doing things to them. The latter years 74 up are usually less than the chrome bumper cars. All of them are fun though. Having a C4 and C3 is the best of both. You have a Shark and a Stealthy Fighter Jet!
Good luck!! Watch for frame rust and the usual C3 problems!
