How to clean radiator?

I have a 91 Vette.

Does anyone know how to get to the radiator to clean it out thoroghly? The plastic cover seems to be more than a simple lift-out. I have reached in the small gap from the right side with a vacuum attachment but I need to clean it out well since my engine has been overheating lately. Also, my radiator dumps antifreeze into the overfill tank but it will not syphon it back when the radiator becomes low. I have replaced the cap but all I have is a full overflow tank and have to add antifreeze periodically. Any Ideas? Thanks for any help.

Clean radiator

Check the hose leading to the overflow tank, especially at that end. It's likely cracked and sucking air instead of fluid. All the other connections could use inspection too.
