Can anyone advise me as to how I can determine my rear axel ratio?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can render!

Mark the rear tires and the prop shaft, turn the rear wheels one full revolution, and count the prop shaft revolutions to determine the ratio. 3-1/2 turns is a 3.55, 3-3/4 is a 3.70, etc.

John: there was an excellent thread a couple months ago when we posed the same question for our 74 coupe-- at 2500rpm and 60 mph-- we figured we were swinging a 3.08 rear which was standard on the L-48 automatics of the period - -
