How to get rid of "that smell"?

OK my wife says I stink every time I am done driving my 81. My 81 does not have cats, is this what causes the stink? Could I have exhaust leaks? I have replaced the weatherstrip near the top of the hood. I thought maybe I was getting engine smells in the compartment that way. I sealed up some leaks on the exhaust I was able to find but I haven't checked replaced gaskets on the manifolds (I need to buy headers one day). I don't see anything in the firewall that is open to the engine compartment and I have all of the vents shut, besides the ones near my feet which let in a little bit of heat. What do you guys think?

My wife says the same thing about my '80. She says I smell like exhaust all the time. I have EFI too- so, its not like I'm running rich and the vapors are coming from a carb.

The exhaust smell may be because of the side pipes though. I say its cologne that says "don't mess with me".

I get the same from my wife.It has a lot to do with that junk they sell as gas nowadays.All older cars have that exhaust smell now.
