how to install 87 door speaker grills?

The Corvette I bought had been updated with 96 parts. I don't mind , l like some of the upgrades. However, someone did a lousy job on the door panels, I am changing them back to the correct ones for this year. What I am not sure of is, how do the speaker grills in the doors attach? Does the speaker grill screws go into the speaker housing itself. Then the speaker tightens up against the back of the door panel? The speakers right now are fastened with screws to the door itself. Any input would be appreciated.

Hey guys, I figured out the speaker grill question. Sometimes the best thing to do, is just dig in and try it. The speakers stay where they are and the grill screws into the speaker mounting holes through the door panel. Just FYI . Jack.
