Hi everyone. I own an 86 Vette. I have what may be a dumb question that to experienced mechanics would have an obvious answer. How does one remove the IAC valve? It's tucked in a little space under the TPS on the throttle body. It doesn't look like a socket or a wrench will fit into the tiny space that it occupies and the size of IAC valve looks to be about 32mm. That would mean a very large socket or wrench. Any help on how to remove it and replace it would be welcomed.

Thanks
Bill

I replaced my IAC when I removed the TB for cleaning.

I don't think you can remove the IAC without removing the TB.

I'm with Wayne88. I think some people have ground down a socket to get it to fit into the tight space, but removing the
TB is easy and quick.

Thanks everyone. I knew that someone would know how to go about removing the IAC.
