Question: howling rear end noise

The picture shows the coast pattern is deep but centered. The pattern has to come up to the crown or top of the tooth and the pattern length has to be equal in length when comparing the top and bottom of the pattern. It may not end up perfectly in the center of the tooth, many times they can be to the toe ot heel but they have to be equal. You must keep the lash in the 5-8 range, these are used gears so you go by the coast pattern more then the drive.


For example here is a used set of 336's I set up at 5-7BL
