After 6 months of under 60 mph driving, my 86 is one happy Vette, and so am I.

My 4+3 o/d was sick,

Replaced relay, switch, oil & filter. That wasnt it, I cried..

my handy Vette mechanic tells me I need a Selenoid and oil pressure switch, holy cow they are hard to find!!

found a valve body assembly ( gizmo that holds selinoid and pressure switch) from Gearzone in Houston. they have a
bunch of rebuilt 4+3 w/ bad housings so they are parting them
out...

$125 bucks for parts & $150 labor and it all works, just like its
supposed to. comes on at 125 degrees and the button controls
the o/d from there.

Cant say enough about all the help I recieved from this site!!
you all saved me so much $$ I almost blunked down big cash
for a new / reman. O/D unit...

A true success story!!

Would you please post the contact info for Gearzone in Houston? I want to add a solenoid and oil pressure switch to my spares box while I can get one.

Thanks in advance.
