I am pulling my engine in my 62 to replace the crank and bearings and am going to replace the hydraulic cam and lifters with solids as it came originally. Can anyone provide the original cam specs for me so that I can find an aftermarket cam that will be close? Also, what pushrod length do I need? Thanks in advance for any help. :cool

A blueprint duplicate of the original "097" Duntov cam is available from Federal-Mogul/Speed-Pro as their #CS-113R; however, a better choice would be the dupe of the LT-1 cam, which is available from GM as a kit with lifters under P/N 12364054, and from F-M/S-P as their #CS-1145R (cam only). All of them use plain ordinary "grocery-getter" standard Chevy valve springs (85# closed, 190-200# open), with stock pushrods and stock stamped rockers.
