Can someone let me know their thoughts on this.
1996 6 speed. Bought the car with known clutch/trans probs.
Need to pump up the peddle a bit to get enough pressure to shift gears. Seems to be getting worse. I looked no obvious leaks, clutch master is full.
I tried bleeding the system by opening up the bleeder screw on the slave letting some fluid run threw then closed it up and pumped for a long time getting as many small bubbles out by watching the reservoir and pumping peddle. Well i have no pressure now.;LOL

sounds like you most likely need new hydraulics. Fluid does not necessarily leak to the out side. What happens is the fluid leaks around to the backside of the rubber cups internally causing the pressure to bled off. The way I bleed these here at the shop is as follows. Remove cap off master. Now do you remember the old brake fluid pumps that fit on a gallon can? The kind where you lift up on the pump and then pull back on the little rubber ball to dispense. Open the bleeder valve on the slave and then backfill the system using a small piece of vacuum hose to connect pump to bleeder valve. Works everytime. Some times you can just remove the cap and any bladder that may be inside the reservoir, and open the bleeder valve and wait. sometimes they will gravity bleed themselves. Make sure you keep a good supply of fluid up top.:beer
