I got My Factory Invoice!

There was a post a month or so back stating that GM had found the build sheets for 1977 to 1981 'vettes. So, I emailed GM my address and VIN#. In the mail yesterday was the build sheet for my car--and I thought it was gone for good when I found that the one on the gas tank had turned to dust... Thanks GM!

Glad you got it. More Corvette people who sent in last month to Peggy should be getting their invoices soon. Hope to hear from more satisfied Corvette owners. Save the Wave.>George

Thats Great news, I sent my e-mail abot 3 weeks ago and have'nt heard back so I figured she is swamped with mail or given up. Looks like there's still hope!

Did it cost anything?

Free, Just send in your name, address, vin # Corvette, year, make and model. And a note of thanks for doing this service.Save the Wave.>George

I cannot understand is this a new service, because I found a thread that covers this topic. The price for a build sheet was like 40, and the window sticker was i think 30.

Craig

I paid $95 for the window sticker (laminated), build sheet, dealer brochure & 2005 black book from the National Corvette Museum for my '01.

Yes, it's a new (free) service (build sheet only) for '77 and later St. Louis-built cars. The other existing (paid) service is from the Corvette Museum, only for Bowling Green-built cars, none earlier than that.

I e-mailed Peggy last month after seeing the info here on the CAC and received what looks like the Dealer Invoice (looks similar to the window sticker)for my 77. Turns out my car was orginally sold at a Dealer less than 5 miles from my house.

I also filled out the Customer Service Survey that was enclosed and sent Peggy a personal Thank You.

Gary

I've been gone for a while - can someone please provide me with Peggy's e-mail address?

All 77-04 Corvette invoices

This is for all Corvette 1977-2004, St. Louis and Bowling Green invoices. The email address is: GMMA.research@gm.com Make sure you have vin #, year, make and model and your home address when you email information.Save the Wave.>George

Free

These are not the window stickers or build sheets. These are the original Chevrolet Dealer invoice. Showing all options and prices, retail and invoice price, and the amount dealer was charge. Also shows the selling Chevrolet Dealers name and dealer code and dealer order number that came on your Corvette. This is free for all 1977-2004 Corvette. I'm looking over at three original invoices right now that Peggy sent me.Save the Wave.>George

Email has been sent for the dealer invoice and I'm on hold right now for the resto kit.

Thanks for all the info!

Photovette...

Do you have a scanner and can show what you got? I have my order in and just want a sneak peek.

Later... Brian

Here it is; you'll note the cheap SOB didn't get alloy wheels, 4-spd, and an L-82! But look at those prices! It sure seemed expensive in 1977 though...

Hey Dave. I got the same package deal last June after I bought my '98. I'm glad I found this thread, I want to get a copy of the original dealer invoice too.

Thanks for the info everyone!

1977 Corvette factory invoice

photovette, That's not a build sheet. It is not the tank sticker. That is the factory invoice. Some people are getting confused. Thanks for putting it up for all of us to see.Save the Wave.>George

I saw this reply from Peggy.

Please know that we are plowing through the HUNDREDS of requests as fast as we can. I send them via the mail, so I need your name and address in addition to the year and VIN. I only confirm receipt of requests to those who request me to, so if you don't hear from me, I haven't forgotten you! Our turn-around time is going to be about 8 weeks now--we have been flooded and it's going t take longer to get to you all! Sorry! Thanks for your patience! One favor, please! If you think we lost yours and you are going to send in a duplicate request, please let me know it's a duplicate--so I will check my request log, and let you the status of the first request.

So those of you who haven't heard from her, don't worry, shes still working on it.

And as far as I know, it only goes back as far as 77.
